Our Story

1995

Established in 1995, AM Group Misr emerged as a prominent trading company specializing in the distribution of various food brands within the Egyptian market.

2000

A significant milestone was reached in 2000 when AM Group Misr successfully launched its own brands, Dolphin Tuna & Sardine, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey.

2008

In 2008, AM Group Misr expanded its portfolio by introducing instant coffee and securing exclusive distribution rights for the esteemed Coffee Break brand in Egypt.

2020

AM Group Misr is a market leader in Egypt’s tuna and sardine sector, operating a 30,000-square-meter centralized warehouse and a fleet of 500 vans. With a dedicated workforce of 750 employees, the company efficiently supplies its 27 branches across Egypt.

2023

AM Group Misr has boldly initiated the construction of its first extruded snacks factory, with production commencing in 2023, expanding its product range and strengthening its presence in the Egyptian market.

Building on 20 years of success in Egypt, AM Group Misr expanded globally in June 2023 with its renowned brands—Dolphin, Mix Mix, and MAZAQ (tomato paste, fresh, and frozen fruits and vegetables). This strategic expansion aligns with the company’s vision of becoming a leading and recognizable brand in the food and beverage industry.

In today’s interconnected world, building a globally resonant brand while preserving a unique identity is essential. To embody this vision, we rooted our brand in Esperanto—a language created to unite people across borders.

‘Rikolto,’ meaning ‘harvest’ in Esperanto, was adapted into ‘Riko’ for our brand, symbolizing agriculture, nourishment, and unity. More than just food, Riko represents a shared appreciation for sustainability and connection. It reflects our commitment to tradition and innovation, making it a smart, distinctive choice in the global market.
